ἐπὶ Θεμιστοκλέους ἄρχοντο[ς],ἐπὶ τῆς Αἰγηίδος ὀγδό[η]ς πρυ[τ]–ανείας, ἧι Λυσίμα[χ]ος Σωσιδή[μ]–[ο Ἀχα]ρ[ν]εὺς ἐγραμμάτευεν· Θε[ό]–φιλος [Ἁλι]μούσιος ἐπεστάτει·Ἀνδροτίων Ἄνδρωνος Γαργήττιος [ε]ἶπεν· π[ε]–ρὶ ὧν ἐπέστειλε Σπάρτοκος καὶ Παιρ[ισά]δ[η]–ς καὶ οἱ πρέσβεις οἱ ἥκοντες π[α]ρ’ αὐτῶν ἀπ[α]–γγέλουσιν, ἀποκρί[ν]ασθαι αὐτοῖ[ς], ὅτι ὁ [δῆ]–μος ὁ Ἀθηναίων ἐπαινεῖ Σπάρτ[ο]κον καὶ Παι–ρισάδην, ὅτι εἰσὶν ἄνδρες [ἀ]γα[θ]οί, καὶ ἐπ[αγ]–γέλλονται τῶι δήμωι [τ]ῶι Ἀ[θ]ην[α]ίων ἐπιμε[λ]–ήσεσθαι τῆς ἐκ[π]ομπῆς τοῦ [σ]ίτ[ο]υ, καθάπερ ὁπατὴρ αὐτῶν ἐπεμελεῖτο καὶ ὑ[π]ηρετήσειν π–ροθύμως, ὅτου ἂν ὁ δῆμ[ος] δ[έη]τα[ι], καὶ ἀπαγγ[έ]–λλειν αὐτο[ῖ]ς τοὺς π[ρέσβ]εις ὅ[τι] ταῦτα ποι–οῦντες οὐδενὸ[ς] ἀτυχήσουσιν τοῦ δήμου το–ῦ Ἀθηναίων· [ἐπ]ει̣δὴ δὲ τ̣ὰς δωρ̣ε̣ι̣ὰς διδόασι–ν Ἀθηναίοι[ς, ἅσ]περ Σ[άτ]υ[ρ]ος καὶ Λεύκων ἔδο–σαν, εἶναι [Σπ]α̣[ρτ]όκ̣ωι [κ]αὶ Παιρισάδει τὰς δ–ωρειάς, ἃς [ὁ δῆμ]ος ἔδωκε Σατύρωι καὶ Λεύκω–νι, καὶ στεφ[ανο]ῦ̣ν̣ χρυσῶι στεφάνωι Παναθη–ναίοις τοῖς μεγάλοις ἀπὸ χιλίων δραχμῶνἑκάτερ[ο]ν· [ποιε]ῖσθαι δὲ τοὺς στεφάνους το–ὺς ἀθλοθέ[τας] τῶι προτέρωι ἔτει Παναθηνα–ίων τῶν μεγ[άλ]ων κατὰ τὸ ψήφισμα τοῦ δήμουτὸ πρότερον ἐψηφισμένον Λεύκωνι καὶ ἀνα–γορεύειν, ὅτι «στεφανοῖ ὁ δῆμος ὁ ἈθηναίωνΣπάρτοκον καὶ Παιρισάδην τοὺς Λεύκωνοςπαῖδας ἀρετῆς καὶ εὐνοίας ἕνεκα τῆς εἰς τ–ὸν δῆμον τὸν Ἀθηναίων»· ἐπειδὴ δὲ τοὺς στεφ–άνους ἀνατιθέασι τῆι Ἀθηνᾶι τῆι Πολιάδιτοὺς ἀθλοθέτας εἰς τὸν νεὼ ἀνατιθέναι το–ὺς στεφάνους ἐπιγράψαντας, «Σπάρτοκος v vκαὶ Παιρισάδης Λεύκωνος παῖδες ἀνέθεσα–ν τῆι Ἀθηναίαι στεφανωθέντες ὑπὸ τοῦ δήμ–ου τοῦ Ἀθηναίων»· τὸ δὲ ἀργύριον διδόναι το–ῖς ἀθλοθέταις εἰς τοὺς στεφάνους τὸν τοῦδήμου ταμίαν ἐκ τῶν εἰς τὰ κατὰ ψηφίσματατῶι δήμωι μερ[ι]ζομένων· τὸ δὲ νῦν εἶναι παρ–αδοῦναι τοὺς ἀποδέκτας τὸ εἰς τοὺς στεφά–νους ἐκ τῶν στρατιωτικῶν χρημάτων· ἀναγ[ρ]–άψαι δὲ τὸ ψήφισμα τόδε τὸγ γραμματέα τῆ[ς]βουλῆς ἐν στήληι λιθίνει καὶ στῆσαι πλη[σ]–ίον τῆς Σατύρου καὶ Λεύκωνος· ἐς δὲ τὴν ἀν[α]–γραφὴν δοῦναι τὸν ταμίαν τοῦ δήμου τριά[κ]–οντα δραχμάς· ἐπαινέσαι δὲ τοὺς πρέσβει[ς]Σῶσιν καὶ Θεοδόσιον, ὅτι ἐπιμελοῦνται τ[ῶ]–ν ἀφικ[ν]ουμένων Ἀθήνηθεν εἰς Βόσπορον [κα]–ὶ καλέσαι αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ ξένια εἰς τὸ πρυτα[νε]–ῖον εἰς αὔριον· περὶ δὲ τῶν χρημάτων τῶν [ὀφ]–[ε]ι̣λο̣μένων τοῖς παισὶ τοῖς Λεύκωνος, ὅπ[ως][ἂ]ν ἀπολάβωσιν, χρηματίσαι τοὺς προέδ[ρος],[οἳ] ἂν λάχωσι προεδρεύειν ἐν τῶι δήμωι [τῆι][ὀγ]δόηι ἐπὶ δέκα πρῶτον μετὰ τὰ ἱερά, ὅπ[ως ἂ]–[ν] ἀπολα[β]όντες τὰ χρήματα μὴ ἐγκαλῶσ[ι τῶι][δ]ήμωι τῶι Ἀθηναίων· δοῦναι δ[ὲ τὰ]ς ὑπηρ̣[εσί]–[α]ς, ἃς αἰτοῦσι Σπάρτοκος καὶ Παιρισ[άδης· τ]–[οὺ]ς δὲ πρ[έ]σβεις ἀπογράψαι τὰ ὀνόμα[τα τῶν][ὑπ]ηρε̣σ̣ι̣ῶν, ὧν ἂν λάβωσιν, τῶι γραμμα[τεῖ τῆ]–[ς β]ουλῆς· οὓς δ’ ἂν ἀπογράψωσιν, εἶνα[ι ἐν τῶι]τ[ε]ταγμένωι ποιοῦντας ἀγαθόν, ὅ τι [ἂν δύνω]–νται τοὺς παῖδας τοὺς Λεύκωνος.

Unter dem Archon Themistokles;die Aigeis hatte die achte Prytanieinne; Lysimachos S.d. Sosidemosaus (dem Demos) AcharnaiVI war Sekretär; Theo-philos aus (dem Demos) Halimous hatte den Vorsitz;Androtion S.d. Andron aus (dem Demos) Gargettos stellte den Antrag:Worüber Spartokos und Pairisades geschrieben habenund die von ihnen gekommenen Gesandtenvermelden, dass man ihnen antworte: dass das Volkder Athener Spartokos und Pairisadesbelobigt, weil sie treffliche Männer sind unddem Volk der Athener ankündigen, sorgenzu wollen für die Ausfuhr des Getreides, so wieihr Vater dafür Sorge trug, und bereitwilligbereitzustellen, wessen das Volk bedarf; und dassihnen die Gesandten vermelden, dass es, wenn sie diestun, ihnen an nichts fehlen wird von seiten des Volkesder Athener; und, da sie dieselben Privilegien gebenden Athenern, die schon Satyros und Leukongegeben haben, dass auch Spartokos und Pairisades diePrivilegien erhalten, die das Volk Satyros und Leukon verliehen hat;und dass man sie bekränze mit goldenem Kranz an denGroßen Panathenäen im Wert von tausend Drachmen,jeden von ihnen; dass die Kränze herstellen lassendie Athlotheten im Jahr vor den GroßenPanathenäen gemäß dem Volksbeschluß,der früher beschlossen worden ist für Leukon; unddass man verkünde: „Das Volk der Athenerbekränzt Spartokos und Pairisades, die Söhne des Leukon,wegen ihrer Leistung und ihres Wohlwollens gegenüberdem Volk der Athener“; und dass, wenn sie dieKränze der Athene Polias weihen,die Athlotheten im Tempel dieKränze weihen mit der Aufschrift: „Spartokosund Pairisades, die Söhne des Leukon, haben (sie)geweiht der Athena, bekränzt vom Volkder Athener“; dass das Geld denAthlotheten für die Kränze gebe derSchatzmeister des Volkes aus den für Volksbeschlüssebestimmten Fonds; dass vorerstauszahlen die Apodektai das Geld für die Kränzeaus dem Militär-Fonds; dass denBeschluss aufzeichne der Sekretär desRates auf einer Marmorstele und aufstelle nahebei der (Stele) für Satyros und Leukon; dass für dieAufzeichnung der Schatzmeister des Volkes dreißigDrachmen auszahle; dass man belobige die GesandtenSosis und Theodosios, weil sie sich derjenigen annehmen,die aus Athen zum Bosporos kommen, undsie zum Festbankett lade ins Prytaneionfür morgen; und dass hinsichtlich des Geldes,das den Söhnen des Leukon geschuldet wird, damitsie es zurückerhalten, darüber verhandeln lassen die Vorsitzenden,die ausgelost werden zum Vorsitz im Volk amachtzehnten (des Monats), als erstes nach den religiösen Angelegenheiten, damitsie nach Erhalt des Geldes nichts vorzuwerfen haben dem Volkder Athener; dass man ihnen gebe die Schiffsbemannung,um die Spartokos und Pairisades gebeten haben;dass die Gesandten auflisten die Namen derSchiffsbesatzung, die zur Verfügung gestellt wird, beim Sekretär desRates; und dass die aufgelistete (Besatzung) in derPflicht stehe, Gutes zu tun nach Kräftenfür die Söhne des Leukon.

PolyeuktosS.d. Timokrates aus dem Demos Krioa stellte den Antrag: das andere,wie Androtion (beantragt hat); dass man bekränze auch Apol-lonios, den Sohn des Leukon, in derselben Weise.

In the archonship of Themistokles (347/6),in the eighth prytany, of Aigeis,for which Lysimachos son of Sosidemosof Acharnai was secretary.Theophilos of Halimous was chairman.Androtion son of Andron of Gargettos proposed:concerning what Spartokos and Pairisades have written in their letterand what the envoys who have come from themreport, to reply to them that the AthenianPeople praises Spartokos and Pairisadesbecause they are good men and undertakefor the Athenian People to look afterthe export of grain, as theirfather did, and to perform enthusiastically whateverservice the People may require; and the envoysshall report to them that if they do these thingsthere is nothing that they will fail to obtain fromthe Athenian People; and since they make the same grantsto the Athenians as Satyros and Leukon made,the grants which the People madeto Satyros and Leukon shall apply to Spartokos and Pairisades;and to crown each of them with a gold crownat every Great Panathenaia, of a thousand drachmas;and the Games-masters shall have the crownsmade in the year before the GreatPanathenaia, in accordance with the decree of the Peoplevoted previously for Leukon; and to announcethat the Athenian People crownsSpartokos and Pairisades, the children ofLeukon, for their excellence and good will towards theAthenian People; and since they are dedicatingthe crowns to Athena Polias,the Games-masters shall dedicatethe crowns in the temple, having inscribed on them: “Spartokosand Pairisades, children of Leukon, dedicatedto Athena having been crowned by the AthenianPeople”; and the treasurer of the Peopleshall give to the Games-masters the moneyfor the crowns from the fund allocatedto the People for expenditure on decrees; but for now it shall befor the finance officers to hand over the money for the crownsfrom the military fund; andthe secretary of the Council shall inscribe this decreeon a stone stele and stand it nearthe one for Satyros and Leukon; andthe treasurer of the People shall give thirtydrachmas for inscribing it; and to praise the envoys,Sosis and Theodosios, because they take care of thosewho visit the Bosporos from Athens; andinvite them to hospitality in the city halltomorrow; and concerning the money which isowed to the children of Leukon, in order thatthey may recover it, the presiding committeeallotted to preside in the Peopleon the eighteenth shall put the matter on the agenda first after the religious business, so thatthey may recover the money and not have grounds for complaint against theAthenian People; and to give the ships’ officersthat Spartokos and Pairisades ask for;and the envoys shall give a list of the names of theofficers whom they are going to take to the secretaryof the Council; and it shall be the duty of those listedto do all in their powerfor the children of Leukon.

Polyeuktosson of Timokrates of Krioa proposed: in other respectsas Androtion proposed, but crown Apolloniosthe son of Leukon from the same fund.
